DENMARK: Denmark reopens for cruises
From June 26, cruise guests are allowed to go ashore in Denmark. Danish authorities require guests to have been vaccinated with an EMA-accepted vaccine.

The reopening means that turnarounds are now possible but not yet confirmed in Copenhagen, but all 12 ports across the country will be ready to receive transit calls from June 26, according to Travel Daily News.

Crew members are not allowed ashore yet, unless they have been vaccinated as well. However, they can embark and disembark in Denmark. They furthermore must be tested before, during and after the cruise.

TOKYO: Strict restrictions for Tokyo Olympics
Tokyo Olympic organisers have unveiled strict new rules for spectators at the Summer Games, due to begin in a month, says Aljazeera. No alcohol, hugging, cheering, autographs, or any behaviour likely to incite a crowd will be allowed.

Seiko Hashimoto, president of the Tokyo 2020 Games, which were postponed from last year, warned that festivities “will have to be suppressed” to keep the event safe and conceded that organisers will need to be “creative” to stoke a celebratory atmosphere.

Games chiefs decided on Monday to allow up to 10 000 spectators into competition venues.
